                           Purchase of Own Securities


On 12 September 2006 Colefax Group plc bought for cancellation a total of 75,000
shares of 10 pence each (representing 0.44 per cent of the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company) at a price of £1.98 per share.


Following the cancellation of these shares there will be 16,915,000 shares in
issue.
