                                  Re AGM & EGM

David Green, Chairman of Colefax Group Plc, speaking at the company's AGM today,
made the following comment on current trading:

"Since we announced our final results in July, trading in all our major markets
has remained favourable.  The Group is now entering its important autumn selling
season and we are concerned about how uncertainty in the financial markets will
impact the high-end housing market."

All resolutions at both the AGM and EGM were passed.
