                           Purchase of Own Securities


On 24th January 2008 Colefax Group plc bought for cancellation a total of
185,932 ordinary shares of 10 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") representing
approximately 1.19 per cent. of the voting rights in, and the issued ordinary
share capital of, the Company at a price of 145 pence per share.


Following the cancellation of these shares there will be 15,478,000 Ordinary
Shares in issue with each Ordinary Share carrying the right to one vote.
