Transaction in Own Shares


On 22nd May 2008 Colefax Group plc bought for cancellation a total of 500,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence
each ('Ordinary Shares') representing approximately 3.26 per cent of the voting rights in, and the issued
ordinary share capital of, the Company at a price of 170 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares there will be 14,860,000 Ordinary Shares in issue with each
Ordinary Share carrying the right to one vote.
