AGM STATEMENT


David Green, Chairman of Colefax Group Plc, speaking at the company's AGM today, made the following
comment on current trading:


As anticipated when we announced our final results in July, trading in our two major markets, the US
and the UK, has weakened and we expect this trend to continue. We are just entering our autumn selling
season and this will give us a clearer indication of future market conditions. On a positive note,
the recent strengthening of the US dollar will help to offset the impact of a more challenging trading
environment.


All resolutions, at both the AGM and EGM, were passed.
